Spirituality

Life is like breathing.

When you exhale, you are getting rid of everything old and used. When you inhale, you are taking in everything new and renewing your own life in itself. One could say that we take breathing for granted; just as in life, when we are in the brink of losing it, we begin to appreciate it more. If you fell into water, today, and had a near fatal incident of drowning, you would appreciate every breath that you took after the incident.

Life, in every way, is just like this. If there was no death, meaning no chance of dying, nobody would truely appreciate their lives. All of the enjoyment that we seek from thrills and adreniline pumping excitement would all be meaningless without the fear of dying. We must appreciate the lessons that both life and death can teach us.

When a loved one passes away, we begin to go through how much we enjoyed the time that we've spent with them while they were alive. We should not dwel in the moarning for those that we love, but cherish the memories we had with them while they were with us.

In this ideal is truely the meaning of life. To appreciate life and those that we love...because they wont be around forever.
